At Hot Floors we aim to sell the best products available both online and offline in the UK. To do this we have all our products made to the latest European standards in our VDE and BEAB approved factory. In addition, we have approvals from the approval houses listed below. Hot Floors are the only UK company selling Underfloor Heating online with BEAB and VDE approvals.
BEAB - British Electrotechnical Approvals Board
BEAB's scope covers electrical products for domestic and small office use. Independent testing and certification to European standards is the principal way of demonstrating that a product meets the essential requirements of the relevant EU Directives. Some benefits to the customer are:-
- Independent Product Testing: Rigorous independent testing of the product to appropriate standards, carried out at laboratories in the UK and throughout the world.
- Stringent Factory Inspections : Pre-production and annual factory assessment, whereever in the world the product is made.
- Market Surveillance: On going surveillance for the products lifetime, including monitoring for any product modifications and the investigation of compliance.
VDE - Verband Der Elektrotechnik
VDE, the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies is one of the largest technical and approval associations in Europe with over 34,000 members. VDE is the Germans equivalent of BEAB.
CE - European Conformity Mark
The CE mark is a European marking scheme showing the manufacturer confirms that their products are made to European standards.
