160 Watt Heating Mats - The only BEAB and VDE approved 160 Watt heating mat available.

 

 

 

Hot Floors 160 watt underfloor heating mats are suitable in all situations. They can be used on any sub floor and with any floor covering, including tiles, carpet, wood, laminate, linoleum, amtico. Available in many sizes they can be configured to fit any room.

 

The 160 watt heating mats are quick and easy to install, and are suitable for use by professional tradesmen and as a DIY installation.

Our 160 watt underfloor heating mats use the same technology as our other heating cables and mats. They are a ready made self adhesive mesh mat that has the heating cable already attached at the correct spacing to produce 160 watts per square metre. Heating mats are quick and easy to install as you simply roll the mat out sticking it to the floor as you go. When you reach a wall or another obstacle, you simply cut the mesh ( not the black heating cable) and twist the mesh around to change direction.

The 160 watt heating mats have the following benefits:-

  • Fully Adhesive mesh / mat, no need to use double sided tape
  • Approved by BEAB and VDE - guaranteeing quality, no other mat available online has these approvals
  • The thickness of the mat is 3mm meaning it won't increase the floor height too much
  • Twin conductor heating cable meaning only one connection point
  • Suitable as a primary or secondary heating systems
  • Easy to install - suitable for DIY

The 160 watt underfloor heating kits include the following:-

  • Heating Mat where the cable is stitched to a self adhesive mesh making it quick to install
  • A BEAB and VDE approved thermostat. The built in intelligence of our thermostat, means there is no better way to control your floor heating.
  • A room and floor temperature sensor (with the Thermostat)
  • Comprehensive instructions for the Thermostat and the installation of the heating system
  • Full telephone support offered by Hot Floors Technical team
  • Optional extra's include Thermal Primer, Silver Coloured Thermostat and Insulation Boards
  • Labels for the fuse box - required to install according to British Regulations
  • Lifetime Warranty - Lifetime warranty for the heating mats and 3 years for the thermostat

To install the 160 watt heating mats, you simply lay the heating mat on the sub floor and cover completely with either flexible tile adhesive or flexible self levelling compound. The final floor covering is then simply installed on top.

The table below shows the sizes available for the 160 watt heating system. Choose a system that will cover 85% of the available floor area. If you need any help to work out the available floor area, a guide is available. The mat only price does not include a thermostat.
