Underfloor Heating Cable - The cheapest way of adding underfloor heating to an existing room.
Hot Floors underfloor heating cable is the same cable that is used with our heating mats. The only difference is it comes on a roll and must be laid manually. You simply use the double sided tape provided to configure the wattage required.
The heating cables are easy to install especially in irregular shaped rooms and where you require a wattage different to the heating mats. Heating Cables are suitable for use by professional tradesmen and as a DIY installation.

Our underfloor heating cables use the same technology as our other heating cables and mats, they are a thin flexible, twin conductor heating cable. Heating cables are simple to install. Simply lay out several runs of double sided tape (provided), then run the lengths of cables across the room, the distance between each run determines the wattage per square metre.

The underfloor heating cable kits include the following:-
- Heating cable supplied on a roll for easy installation
- A VDE approved thermostat is included in all heating kits. The learning abilities of the thermostat means there is no better thermostat to control your underfloor heating system.
- The Thermostat has a room and floor temperature sensor
- Comprehensive instructions are supplied both for the Thermostat and also installation of the heating system
- Double sided tape for fixing the cable to the floor
- Full telephone support offered by Hot Floors Technical team
- Optional extra's include Thermal Primer, Silver Coloured Thermostat and Insulation Boards
- Labels for the fuse box - required to install according to British Regulations
- Lifetime Warranty - Lifetime warranty for the heating cables and 3 years for the thermostat
To install the heating cable, you simply determine the spacing required to provide the required wattage per square metre. Then simply attach several runs of double sided tape to the floor, and lay the cable with the pre determined spacing. The final floor covering is then simply installed on top.
The table below shows the available sizes for heating cable system and the suggested wattages. Choose a system that will cover 85% of the available floor area. If you need any help to work out the available floor area, a guide is available. For primary heating we suggest a minimum wattage of 150 watts per square metres. The Cable only price does not include a thermostat.
